1. Dharmendra on no.1 of course and then Vinod Khanna a close second. Only because in all those 80s-90s flicks where these 2 were regulars with some newcomers like Sanjay, Salman etc, Vinod was still buff while Dharmendra looked round like a football. Still love these flicks. Watch one daily on tv. Dharmendra is so entertaining. All the films have the same story more or less but with him it's always entertaining. Dharmendra had cracking chmistry with all his costars. it was like the females were really into him and shrinking like violets in his presence. D was the most bankable star which is why producers and star kids always sought him out to play Teesri adalat like roles to their fledgling films.
2. Vinod Khanna had the best buff body and macho jawed face. Some screen presence he had. I saw this film Kudrat and being a massive Kaka fan, couldn't believe how much he overshadowed him. But then he overshadowed tattu Amitabh in every film so there.
3. Dev Anand- nice features and all but man did he have presence or what. Screen lights up everytime he's on. Excluding the post Hare Rama hare Krishna era of course with Warrant kind of films and all. Dev Anand set the template for everyone else to follow. The triumvirate of Dev, Raj Kapoor and Dilip were supposed to rule but the other 2 were media favourites. People's favourite was always Dev. Sulking Dilip was heavily favoured by the powers that be and Raj Kapoor made some good films when you could get over his constant self pitying. But Dev made shitty movies like Taxi driver into BBs. Watch any song of his eg. Dil Aaj shayar hai and see the entire song focussing only on his face and still you can't take your eyes off. such is the magnetism.
Read somewhere how Dharmendra won a all india talent contest judged by Bimal Roy and others. He was told he won only because he didn't ape Dev in his acting or hairstyle etc. Such was the impact. If you notice Kaka too was heavily inspired by Dev esp in lip syncing style early on.
4. Firoz Khan I suppose though I don't really care for him. But I guess he looked better than the rest of the males on the list. Only like his multistarrer films where he plays good samaritan like Aarzoo, Safar etc.
5. Rajesh Khanna-though he's not the best looking but his presence and acting style is what sets him apart. ofc he was very insecure about his big ass and rounded shoulders so he didn't have the best body. Find him best looking in his Aap ki Kasam phase where he seems more manly too. But love Kaka all the same more or less even the shitty films he did later.
So now to round off this list. I don'r even rate the others. So just my opinions on them. Not rating them. Anil Kapoor goes above RIshi and Shashi. Anil is rubbish actor but even he looks better than these 2 LMFAO.
Don't know who to place next. RIshi-like his acting though only as a acharacter actor playing side roles to Neetu Singh or whatveer. Neetu Singh ofc was the hero of her films with him. Just see him in Bobby. What a joke he looks like. No surprise then that after Bobby India became crazy for Dimple while this guy was just an alsoran though it was supposed to be his launch vehicle. Now he thinks he's some kind of star but he should really thank Amitabh for giving him roles in his films. Still in his Hum Kisise Kum Nahin days, he lost weight and the famous Kapoor ass so better looking than next on the list Shashi Kapoor.
Shashi Kapoor is fugly af. Seeing his internet popularity I can only wonder that women are really into men who look like women-Massive hips wider than his shoulders -the perfect feminie silhouette and stuff of wet dreams except it's fugly on a man. Do women like femine body type males. Only think he looks a bit good in later year films like Junoon. And face is so common in the Baghdad area. If you ever been to Baghdad 75% ppl have his face. Never found it good looking. So dunno.
