Malaika Arora gets son Arhaan's custody; doesn't ask for any alimony

Malaika Arora did not ask for any alimony or property from Arbaaz Khan.

Bollywood's hot couple Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora are now officially divorced after the Bandra Family Court agreed to their divorce petition.

With this, the duo has mutually ended their 18-year old marriage. While Malaika has got the physical custody of their 14-year-old son, Arhaan, Arbaaz has been granted access to them whenever he wants.

A leading daily quoted a source saying that Malaika did not seek any alimony or property from Arbaaz.

Both Arbaaz and Malaika yesterday appeared before the family court where they met principal marriage counselor VS Athavale for five minutes and were then granted divorce by the Family Court judge.

The two had arrived together for the Justin Bieber concert which was held a day before on May 10, 2017, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The two still remain cordial and are very much a part of each other's life. They are not letting their split affect their family life. Malaika was even a part of Arbaaz's nephew Ahil Sharma's birthday celebrations in Maldives.

A while back when Arbaaz was asked by a leading daily if there was a chance at reconciliation, he said, "I feel, if we had to get more time, we would have got back by now. The fact that we haven't, means it is not meant to be. I wouldn't want to speak for her. I kept my option open despite us parting ways, and I gave it a little time, whether it was a year or two years before I moved on in certain ways. Even as far as dating somebody is concerned. So I guess if that was to happen it would have happened in the first six months, or one year. It didn't and it's been almost three years now."
