The 30-year-old was honoured with the youth icon of the decade award by the Women Economic Forum in New Delhi on Monday.

"Every normal person today should be a feminist. Being a feminist should be considered normal.The fact that women make half the world should be respected. Every human is a feminist and if they are not, something is wrong with them. It should be in the upbringing and not looked upon as something unusual," Aditi told PTI.

"Financial independence is very important. It gives you a confidence to believe that you don't have to depend on anybody practically. When you start working and earning your money, it gives you a thrill. The fact that I am not answerable to anybody empowers me," she says.

30 year old? I thought she was 38?

If a human doesn't believe man and women should be regarded as equals, yes something is wrong with him/her. It's either the way he was brought up, lack of education or compassion for the fairer sex.

She definitely lies about her age but I do agree with her. Also it's a lot more to do with action than anything else. but there is definitely something wrong with someone if they don't. Sadly even women hesitate/dislike calling themselves feminists & thats patriarchy's big achievement- Divide & rule. When these women sit & talk about young girls & how they invite advances, are strange etc it only shows their thinking more than anything else. It's terribly sad.

I agree with her for India, disagree with her if she includes the west... I think in the west their are the same amount of negativities involved for both genders
