I hate to be praising Ekta for anything, but she does come up with few innovative concepts and they are at least worth watching in first few months, regardless of shows dramatically downgrading afterwards. But, Gul's shows are basically regressive from the beginning and with time they only get more regressive and abusive (verbally at least towards the lead female characters). So while Ekta is not any better, Gul definitely takes the cake in this category.

Ekta knows how to present Romance and emotions, her dialogue writers are also better than Gul's.

Gul copied Ekta in the beginning, she also created some famous pairs like Arnav Khushi but their romance parts were overshadowed by abuse and torture.

Ekta has also introduced some of the best actors on TV, some of whom have successfully crossed over to the big screen.

Gul Khan. I honestly thought she had moved on from her phase of black magic, voodoo, bhoots and stuff but no. She ruins every show somehow with elaborate past mysteries of the characters that always have some mystical questionable things going on. She's turned all her shows into disasters. Also, it's always the cliched angry young man and bubbly girl, her characters have no other personas.

Both are rubbish but Ekta at least made actors like Sakshi, Smriti, Ronit , Rajeev K , SSR etc into stars .

GUL every show has same story. On the other hand, Ekta shows have quite good.

Well I do not know anything at all about serials and have watched only IPK. But the producer of IPK is making IPK3 with Barun and a character named ASR 😳. She is trying to cash in on the ASR craze with no innovation whatsoever. I can predict the story now.

Current state of Indian tv is beyond pathetic and not only should every producer should be blamed for that but also the audience who lap it all up.. The audience gives the trps to the regressive shows thats why they keep churning out crap after crap.. The top shows on the trp chart are utterly regressive and shit be it Kumkum bhagya or naagin or sns whereas good shows which come once in a blue moon such as POW dont get trps.. So unless the audience stop accepting whatever shit is given in the name of entertainment indian tv will keep going downhill.
And i wonder what suddenly led to this change? Coz even about 5 years ago the shows were much better compared to now.. 😕 Infact I have grown uo watching Ekta shows and I used to love watching Kkusum, Kutumb, Kumkum, Kausauti, etc and then Pavitra Rishta, Bade Achhe, YHM not so long ago.. Why suddenly the quality of tv shows have decilned sooo much is beyond me 😕
