In recent times, the majority of the leading ladies in epic/royal love stories are South Indians, take Anushka, Deepika or Aishwarya for an exemple.
Because Queens/Princesses need inner beauty as well as outer beauty. They need to be naturally beautiful, with very little make up on. And they are not size zero. So I'm just glad our ladies have that majestic look in them. Not anyone can pull this off perfectly and convincingly.
S in Hamsa Navva looked so out of this world! I still remember Aishwarya in that Adisayam song, she is an adisayam herself, just as she looked in Jodhaa Akbar. Havent seen BM, but Deepika looked beautiful in all the posters...
in fact, I never liked SI importing foreign ladies just because of their skin color. The craze for Amy Jackson amazes me! She was apt for Madrasapattinam and extremely beautiful as well. But she doesnt suit in the rest of the characters she's played so far.. i never understood Rajnikanth's crazy wish of having a BW lady as his heroin. I dont mind, SI or NI, we're all Indians but why making it as if there were no beauty in the South?

The fact that bollywood movies like Badrinath ki Dhulania and other such crap-fests with talentless people become hits, well, there's a reason for it -- there's an audience who loves such crap-fests, which is truly sad because bollywood will go from bad to worse and finally land in the gutter.

S has tremendous screen presence and beauty, regardless of her bodyweight (she, according to me, has this amazing ability to look amazing no matter what). Her chemistry with D is so electrifying that I wouldn't need to hear two words from their mouths, and could happily stare at them for eternity.
