Asides , Kamli. Chikni Chameli and Shiela Ki Jaawani are critically appreciated either there choreography or song or performance of Katrina, plus they were also smash hits in all type of platform commercially. While Fevicol was critically trashed(although it was hit in channels) for Kareena's poor performances and Raabta is same as it is a really poor video package.

Doesn't matter if an item song is a smash hit or not. They are all pretty tacky.

Yes, the song is flawed. There is nothing wrong in constructive criticism but this articles is in downright poor taste.

Even po*n can be great to utter tripe and this is an actual choreographed dance number with sensual to sexual to vulgar elements depending on what kind of audience the director is catering for.
You can have great item numbers which is not just restricted to wearing skimpy clothes and shaking your assets like Kajra Re, Ek Do Teen etc etc to absolute trip like Meow(Golmaal), Mary (Brothers) and almost all the B-grade movies item numbers.
The purpose of the item songs is to generate interest in the movie from the general single screen male audience to creating trends on line with scoof to cover. In all creating the hype and popularity of the movie.
