he said "I might not be everybody's cup of tea but where people like dal-chawal I know I am liked!"...he meant those people who like daal-chawal (read people who like simplicity) they also like him...he did not use the phrase "daal-chawal people" nor he meant rich people can't like him nor he underestimated "daal-chawal people"...ufff

Some of us are videshiji and Southie origin. We are more familiar with apna basha idioms like in Tamil or Telugu or Malayalam cause our parents use them. Hindi is not universally known you know, we barely skate by in Hindi, don't understand conversations in movies completely or understand lyrics yet listen to them. yet we like BW, so aisa bhi hota hain ji !

On Topic: It's Arjun who needs coaching in what is Dhal Chawal. Malaika obviously likes him and she is Diamond Quinoa not Dhal Chaval
