Bajirao Mastani: Katrina Kaif could have been Ranveer Singh's Mastani had she not said given a thumbs down to the film. Yes, years ago, Sanjay wanted to recreate Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai magic in Bajirao Mastani too, but due to their ugly break-up, this dream couldn't be realised. And years after when Bhansali started looking for his Mastani again, his first choice was Katrina Kaif. However, the Chikni Chameli of Bollywood refused to be a part of the period drama as she was not ready to romance a younger actor. And the role later went to Deepika Padukone. And as they say, the rest is history.
Ram Leela: Katrina missed out the opportunity of working with Ranveer twice. Sanjay Leela Bhansali also offered 2013 film Ram Leela to Katrina, but she turned it down for reasons unknown. Yet another 100-crore film she lost out on.
Chennai Express: Her on-screen chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan in Jab Tak Hai Jaan made many hearts flutter, and that's why Rohit Shetty was keen to cast the two together in Chennai Express.
