KJo says he went wrong directing 15 min of My Name Is Khan

The life of the master film maker Karan Johar has been more mysterious than envious. Ever since the time he entered Bollywood, there have been many things written about him. Be it the till-date' speculations about his sexual orientation to his impeccable art of making larger than life films, Karan Johar has handled everything like a thorough professional.

Post his first Bollywood film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai as a director, there has been no looking back for Karan Johar, who has often been termed as the man with the Midas touch'. Every film of his, which he has directed has turned out to be a winner at the Box-Office. Be it Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student Of The Year or the recently released Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, all the films were universal blockbusters. Karan Johar's art of film making have always been appreciated in these films.

Speaking of the hit film My Name Is Khan, readers may recall that, when the film was released, a few controversies did erupt, which, later died a natural death. What many do not know is that, by his own admission, Karan Johar had recently confessed that he felt that he went wrong with fifteen minutes of the film. To be more specific, he revealed that, there was a huge hurricane angle which did not work at all. Karan Johar admitted that, he had pulled it off really badly. At the same time, he had then thought that the intention of the film would tide it through. Karan Johar, who, self-confessedly, wanted to win the Best Director' award for the film, was satisfied after winning it and also after getting five stars and four and a half star rating from the film critics.
