It doesn't matter that Indian law has made it mandatory for no loudspeakers and noise levels to be minimum from 10 PM to 6 AM. But how dare he question now..or why did he even tweet about it. Doesn't matter if someone like SRK will bitch about airports in US even if it's part of their protocol but you know his bitchin on twitter is justified.

FOE is foremost. Makes me realize how right SRK was for that intolerant comment. Valid for all. Basically foE is what works for me is valid and what hurts my sentiments is a crime.

Shiv Sena, fatwa loving Maulvis etc are all the same..they have zero ground relevance but they work so well on sns.

It doesn't matter that Sonu has been advocating about peace, stood by Pakistani Artists when the country was outraging, that his Guru is a Muslim Legend...but naah ,all is negated about why the eff he criticizes my religion, my god. Intolerant indeed.

He might be doing it for publicity but dang , it has exposed the hypocrisy of it all.

Now that's a LOT of logic !

You think anybody has the time and mind to apply so much brain?😲

You know why? Because people are attracted to negative more than positive. That's why news channels broadcasts mostly negative news.

People have so much problem these days so they feel "happiness" deep inside , you can say sub-consciously, when they see something bad is happening to others.

so true

CG i only came to know about this law since you posted about it yesterday , then i went on a did a bit of digging but till date never heard about it and never thought that there could be such a law in india . Don't know whcih part of india you live but north india speacially U.P, delhi belt has loud speakes going on 24/7 sometimes, how can the law be falunted so openly and nobody does anything ?

Leaving aside my view on sonu's stunt, i hope it raises issue on a serious level and the law gets implemented .

Angrybeard- This law has been going around since 1986. Has been amended multiple times.Bombay High Court criticized the state when it wasn't implemented properly. Since 2005 , it has been strictly practiced in Most parts. I am not aware of UP but Delhi mostly do follow it..and this is the reason why you can call Police and they take away the loudspeakers or get the volume down. This is the reason why Hotels (not farmhouses) has limited hours for loudspeakers. Even Pandals during Durga Puja in Delhi atleast take license.

You mentioned UP, well, not surprised we all know implementing law is not a priority there. Perhaps a bit of digging outside UP will help.

Angrybread, sound pollution is a serious issue in India...Many people are loosing their hearing ability so early in the age...During my last visit to India, I was shocked that most of the people speak so loud and expect you to reply even louder...If I tried to speak soft, they will be like ' you are trying to be all western'..😲😆

There was a wedding happening in the vicinity and at the middle of the night there were fire crackers going on in the midst of loud wedding band and all......I wasn't able to sleep even with the A/C and fan on...When I complained about it, my relatives were ROFLing and rolling their eyes at me...Its like everybody is used to these things and have become thick skinned against such pollition and disturbances...
