Who would you rate higher when it comes to acting between the two??
I am talking strictly about acting, and not about who is the bigger star(which is obvious) or dancer (which is also obvious). But about their acting prowess.

Tough one, since they come from different periods of cinema: PC has had more exposure to female-oriented movies, while Madhuri did a lot of run-of-the-mill commercial stuff being a top 90s actress.

Madhuri excelled in the 90s movies too, not only was she extremely successful because of her dance numbers like Dhak Dhak and Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar, but she also excelled in the coy girl-next-door roles like HAHK and DTPH. What struck out for her was that despite being a fantastic dancer, she was a decent, above-average actress, and she basically didn't get an opportunity to show her range with something like a 7 Khoon Maaf for example, instead worked on excelling on what she was offered.

On the other hand, while PC has shown a lot of variety - Aitraaz, 7 Khoon Maaf, Fashion, Barfi and Mary Kom, even the small but impactful role in Bajirao Mastani - and is generally excellent in the hatke roles, but she also goes OTT in the Anjaana Anjaani, Pyaar Impossible Zanjeer kind of roles. She, like Madhuri, worked her way up in the industry, working strength-to-strength and on her weaknesses. Her confidence makes her stand out amongst the crowd, she does make mistakes but she never falters or seems apologetic or regretful about anything.

Tough choice but I'll go with Priyanka on this one. Madhuri is probably the last female Bollywood actress superstar (after Sridevi), but her acting was never her strongest point - her dancing was. They are both excellent actresses but PC edges Madhuri out for me. 👍🏼

Madhuri was a much bigger star but Priyanka is a much better actress. PC has shown more range in her acting skills in her entire career. Madhuri was never a great actress, she was known more for her dancing skills. Her acting is very limited. MD can never pull-off an Aitraaz, Barfi or 7 Khoon Maaf.
