Ranbir Kapoor on Alia Bhatt: She is the Amitabh Bachchan of Bollywood today
Ranbir Kapoor praises Alia Bhatt at a recently held Award show.

At the recently held Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were felicitated with acting honours.
When Ranbir accepted his award he was all praises for Alia. He referred to her as the Amitabh Bachchan of Bollywood today.
When asked which movie of Bhatt's did he like the most and the answer came back as Highway, for which Alia received tons of acclaim and established her mark as an actress in Bollywood.
The two actors were very amicable with each other at the award show and even posed for pictures together.
At the event when reporters spoke to her about the actress not winning a National Award for her role inUdta Punjab, Alia said, "Please don't feel bad. I am not going anywhere. There is a lot of time. I did not feel bad so even you don't feel bad about it."
According to a leading news agency, on winning the Lokmat Award, Alia said, "It's a great moment. Winning this award shows that you are now in the heart line of your country. So it's great."
Alia and Ranbir will be paired opposite each other in Dragon which is being helmed by Ayan Mukerji with whom Kapoor has starred in movies like Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
Meanwhile, Alia also has Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boys with Ranveer Singh and Ranbir has Rajkumar Hirani's The Sanjay Dutt biopic and Anurag Basu's Jagga Jasoos opposite Katrina Kaif.
