Varun does have a mass appeal with the audience and that is something you cannot take away from him. He is star in the rising, and he knows how to connect with his audience.

I would say Ranbir <Varun < Ranveer, my order of rank. Yes, Ranbir has had his share of failures, but you I think you cannot deny after Khans , he is the most popular.

Don't get me wrong. I am not anti VD at all. He is one of my favorite right from the day I stepped into this forum. But trade will look into how much value his name carries across generation. I am glad that he has good name in younger generation and now he has recognition with older generation if reports are correct.

His next movie will have to be sold as Varun's movie, not David Dhawan's movie. He needs to be sold as star who sells movies on ticket window. His movie work on BO but there is no star like aura around him as yet. Trade under estimate him. That aura will have to be built if he needs to grow bigger. I am hoping his father will be able to do it.

Yes Badlapur was different and after watching it I got to know he is talented and he can act but see after that he is taking up same entertaining roles more of comic. Ranveer has different roles if you see Bitoo was diff, Ricky had many different characters, Ram Rajadi was another.
