I don't think she is taking digs at anyone or insulting working moms..she said I was happy to spend first few months with her baby and also give time for herself..which was the healthy approach..even working moms get few months maternity leave..paid. and after that unpaid extended leave..at least in India. That's of course with the idea that mom and baby both get enough rest and r well cared for.

Mira of course wants to work..she said she has a future ahead of her and she would be free from her responsibilities sooner.

That's her choice..and a good one

Dear Mira, will u ever work?

If ur husband is successful, u may end up like gauri khan. If ur husband is not successful, you MAY end up like Mehr Rampal. And with a husband like SK you will most likely end up like either one of them.

A mother will always be a mother whether she spends 1 hour or 24 hr with the kid. Talk about yourself, thats all.

Behenji, Good u r loving ur kid and spending time with them but not everyone have that privileges...have seen how some leave their infants at home and go to work cos of no other options ..it doesnt mean they dont love their kids and are puppies...

Anyways stay at home and spare us !!

Exactly, women are as passionate for their work as men are. They can have higher goals and ambitions too. Being a mother doesnt mean one should stop chasing ur dreams. Infact being mommy makes a woman much more stronger as she would balance between her child n her work. I see so many brilliant successful mommies in my field of work and whenever i meet them they keep talking about their kids. They find different ways to connect to their children and make them the centre of their worlds too. I believe having a mum who is the BEST at her work and is giving good enough time to her kids would do as well as a stay at home mum, just that u may learn a lot more from ur working mum coz she is herself learning new things everyday.
