If Rehnuma clicks, Anushka will reign. If Badri-Dragon-Gully Boy-Aashiqui 3 click, then Alia will be unstoppable

While I don't think DP will ever reach the level she was at prior to her HW stint and 2 year disappearing act, I think we are underestimating her. I mean despite being gone, we still talk about her on this forum more regularly than those still around LOL.

And DP makes sure to make her presence be known whether via social media or her PR, she's hardly disappeared. And Ranveer still being around in BW and the constant "are they in love are they broken up" articles also keep her in the limelight

Anushka has to be the first #1 actress to claim the title with no substantial hype, impact, or award worthy performances in the year she supposedly ruled. I have yet to meet a single soul in real life that utters the name Anushka, let alone a full blown fan of hers.

even though anu has delivered solid performances and hit movies, but dips has always been more popular than anu.
and dips never lost the throne, so wapas dene ki baat nahi.
yes she was bland in mastaani, but movie was a success so she stays at top.
she gives padmavati solid act and its a hit, she will remain queen bee.

Finally someone said it! Anushka is literally powerless. She can keep on doing her NH10 movies, but she will never reach Deepika's success. Deepika a powerhouse star.

Deepika...well she is tall as a camel ... I just dont like her much .. still I am not that against her but for me she was never # 1 to begin with so no chance of retaking anything. She is average in terms of looks and acting and totally overhyped.

Agree with the part that Anushka has the right combination, combined with the fact she has smart brain also. She picks up her films very nicely and is just about the right amount of ambitious/confident; neither OTT nor too less. But, @Bold, do not agree with that. She is quite beautiful yes; but not so much that we cannot think of any other perfect combination actress in last 30years! The difference we see now is because nowadays, not only masala films; but other story-oritented and good roles oriented film are also made. So actresses with good scope are noted more and remembered more. Otherwise, there were pretty talented and beautiful actresses. Poonam Dhiloon, Sridevi, Jaya Prada, Madhuri Dixit, Meenakshi Sheshadri, and the list has space for few more still.
