Did you watch Rani M's Aiyyaa? Did you like it?

The news of Rani Mukherjee's comeback reminded me of Aiyyaa.
I quite liked it actually, I mean the direction and the way they showed colours were mixing and all. It was entertaining for me.
I also liked the songs, choreography and Rani's belly dance. She acted also well.
What's your thought on Aiyyaa? What was wrong with movie?
Was it that it had a comeback heroine and no major hero or concept was way too progressive for Indian audience or the movie itself like direction, script, screenplay etc etc was bad?

EDIT: I thought I was the only one who liked it but I see I was so wrong. Even I thought it would be very bad but it turned out to be actually good.

I read some of the reviews back then. They said that they could not believe that the director(who is a famous director of marathi film industry) could make such a frivolous movie for his taste. But the movie was not vulgar at all that the songs projected.

Yes. I loved it! 😆 Its one of my fav films of Rani actually...

I think it might have been too quirky for the mainstream audience. Dunno. But I personally loved all the South parodies & teasing & humour.

Loved the movie. More feminist movie than so called feminist movies that Bollywood churns. It is one of my go to TP movie. And songs were fun. 😃

It was a horrible movie and critics didn't like it either. Further validation came from public after it was declared a box office disaster.

It's literally one of my favourite Bollywood movies ever. Special mention to the actor who plays the sweet shareef husband-material fiance of Rani's whose idea of romance is Deepti Naval and Farooq Sheikh, he was so adorable! Rani just owned this role, such a firecracker she is! ❤️ At last we got to see a woman lusting after a man and explore her pleasures. Her and Prithviraj had some serious chemistry. I loved the whole mysterious aura they created around him, it was really effective. The mother, father, grandma and brother were absolutely hilarious!!! 😆 The only annoying character was her Lady Gaga wannabe friend.

I loooved it. The movie had a different feel and was very well-made. Rani was great in her role too. A pity it didn't work at the BO, but at least, it's a good movie I watched more than once.
