BOI says its 66 Cr but even if we go by your number, Semi-Hit is a pretty generous verdict considering what the distributors paid for it. Ideally, it should be 'Average'. Yet some are pushing for a HIT verdict when it's actually a losing film. Nowhere near a HIT which means usually means a film has returned at least 15-20% on its investment. For Raees it would mean a net collection of ~160 Cr and distributor share of ~80 Cr and we can both agree it's nowhere close.

SRK fans should be ecstatic with a Semi-HIT verdict.

Raees is a proper Semi Hit as majority of the territories have performed quite well and only few regional distributors have faced losses. 'Average' verdict is given to films like Befikre which was made on a budget of 70cr but could collect just 60cr. Raees distributors have lost just 1-2 cr ...so the Semi Hit verdict is justified.Kaabil might get 'Average' verdict.

131 crores means the distributor share is 65.5 Cr. 50% of Net collection as half is kept by the theatres. So it's still about 9 crs away from breaking even. 😆

Kaabil was sold for 50cr
And this figure was quoted months before movie was released

These distributor prices floating all over are from makers only... while in Trade, no one reveals real figures.

Raees wasn't distributed all over India by only one distribution company. AA Films distributed the film at all the major territories and at few small centres like Tamil Nadu, the film was distributed by regional distributors independently. AA Films got the distribution rights at 65 cr...and the total all India distribution price is 70cr( including regional distribution price).AA Films has recovered all its investment and is in in profit zone...while few regional distributors who released the films independently have incurred minor losses. This makes the 'Semi Hit ' verdict justified.

Raees made on 127 Cr budget, what's it selling price? Whatever it is, Raees has fall short of crossing it & earning some profit.

It was sold at 65 cr to AA films + 5 cr to independent regional distributors.
