On the occasion of their first Valentine's Day, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover talked about their special plans, falling in love and much more. The beautiful couple got married in April last year (2016) and are still crazy for each other. In a recent interview to DNA the two talked about their Valentine's Day plans, finding the right person and why they tried to stay away from each other even after getting attracted. Check it out... Bipasha Basu said, ''I love it because I love occasions. I need a reason to celebrate and Valentine's Day is a day of love. If there is one official day to claim your love for everybody that you love, it is today.'' Karan Singh Grover added, ''I was not very big on days like these or celebrations of any kind, but after meeting Bipasha that's changed quite a bit. She likes to celebrate and being around her, while she's celebrating is just very infectious. For every occasion she's like Yayyy!''' You Are Married To A Sardar: KSG When Bipasha was asked about her perfect date, ''Anything - great food, laughing a lot, any lovely place to sit and relax. Great food is a necessity... Karan makes me laugh a lot so I love it.'' To which KSG said, ''Laugh a lot means what? You are married to a sardar - what else will you do? For me knowing that she's having her perfect Valentine's Day is good enough. That and she's happy and getting the food that she wants is my perfect date. I love the beach and candlelight dinners but there's no point in having a candlelight dinner if she's not getting the food she wants.'' The Couple Talk About Their Valentine's Day Plans Bipasha Basu said, ''We had thought that we will have a family dinner as we are a family of foodies but we will think more. We are alone every day as we socialise quite less. Once we found each other, life is good.'' KSG added, ''I am a very anti-social person so I don't like going out at all without her...'' Bipasha's Confession: We Were Attracted To Each Other But We Tried To Stay Away! ''It took me some time. We went through a very tough time together because we liked each other, but we were in different worlds and to make that possible was pretty much impossible in our heads so we denied each other. We were attracted to each other, but we consciously tried to stay away. It's like a film where we tried our best to keep away from each other and we failed. You can't pinpoint a day.'' We Went Through Quite A Lot Of Feelings ''You can discuss it with as many close people in the world, but they don't know what you are feeling. A moment is tough as we went through quite a lot of feelings... Separation, emotions and then coming to terms with the fact that we have a great friendship and we should not let it go, and then the friendship culminated into a beautiful bond which got stronger every day.'' It's Not Like We Are Children: KSG 'It's not like we are children and we have been through our set of experiences. You understand attraction, infatuation and all those things but there's that and much more. It unnerves and you want to understand why you want to be with that person.' Karan Is More Heart Than Me: Bipasha 'He's more heart than me. For me the choice was made. I was going through my wedding videos and I have spoken a lot. In that the director has pulled it out, that I finally found someone with a bigger heart than mine and I won't let him go. That's when I made the decision that this is what works for me.' My Brain Is Smaller Than Hers: KSG 'She loves that my heart is bigger than her as my brain is smaller than hers (laughs). (Bipasha tells him to shut up) Everything about Bipasha bowled me over but when you get over her beauty there's an aura about her which just makes me happy. There are not many people in the world whose presence makes everything nice around them, even if she walks through a swamp she will leave flowers growing behind her...' In the same interview the sweet couple was asked about finding Mr/Mrs Right, ''We go wrong when we follow a book or stereotypes. It's like a medical relationship. You have to follow your heart. When you are feeling something strong for someone, never ask anybody. Give yourself time,'' Bipasha Basu said. Also ''Following that bookish knowledge of Mr and Miss Right has ruined us. What is right for you may be wrong for me. Most people have given up on love. You have to know yourself,'' Karan Singh Grover said.
