Why did Akshay Kumar take Canadian citizenship? - Page 10

It's the hypocrisy of both Akshay and the 'bhakt' population and their media machine that lets Akshay get away with a fake patriotic image while being the only actor who actually swore allegiance to another country! Other actors constantly get attacked for being traitors and told to go to Pakistan and get compared to terrorists while they are still legit Indian citizens.

Citizenship isn't just a piece of paper. When you become a citizen of another country, you take a vow that your loyalty lies to Canada (in Akshay's case) and to no other. You are renouncing your allegiance to India.

The fact that he's able to get away with it and still maintain a fake bhakt image for the bhakt crowd while they harass other actors is really amazing. This guy is basically saying it's better for him to be Canadian - for money and properties, for his future, and for basically having the power of the Canadian government behind him if he ever needs it.

He's not an Indian national but he's profiting off pretending to be one. He gets away with it too while others get slandered for not being patriotic enough.
