I think Zoya casted Aloo in the part because she needed an actress who look young to portray the role. Ranveer's weight loss makes him look young because of that for the first Aloo's pairing with an actor apart from Varun is looking good. If Ranveer was in his Simmba or Khilji look they would have looked so odd together.

When Ranveer said he liked my work in Raman Raghav 2.0, I was surprised. Very few actors can praise other actors' work the way he did. But (I felt) I'm playing role of a woman from the strata where women get married at the age of 16 & become mothers by the time they're 17.Ranveer has lost weight for #GullyBoy so he looks young too

I wish Ranveer did more roles that were restrained. To me he seems a lot more natural and likeable in this trailer than all his other OTT antics.

I like the genre of music,I like the idea of coming-of-age on a sense & it's an underdog story. It's the story about a boy,so everything attracted me to it,every single thing. And it's a story abt my city and Mumbai is a very special place -Zoya Akhtar #GullyBoy (FPJ)
