Loved Jim's response to Harsh regarding auditions and it is true. A star kid will still be considered for a lead role while the rest have to manage with supporting roles before getting a lead role.

Loved Jim and Fatima in the Roundtable, especially Fatima. I think she is one of those newcomers who is really very balanced in every interview she is a part of, something that leading actors like Alia and others are not able to do. Really looking forward to what she does next!

I can't remember exactly how the conversation went but it was to this effect:

Jim said that people were giving you choices on your debut film/coming to you with a film, we had to do the rounds (stand in line for auditions, meet different crew, not know whether you fit the character but audition anyway etc.)

I think it was at this point Harsh said that directors like Motwane and Mehra wouldn't just cast someone who they don't think fits the bill as he worked on two passion projects so that should be merited. Harsh explained that he also gave auditions for Night Of, Life Of Pi etc.

And Jim was like: That's the point. They were for lead roles. We don't have such opportunities. We have to impress people in the smaller rooms and then work our way up, we don't have the big ticket and it's not your fault that you do. If I had the ticket, I'd take it and run with it,

Harsh agrees and says that because he is star kid there is more scrutiny on everything that he does.

And Jim said that's the price you have to pay for your ticket to the big room.

And then Harsh ends it saying, yes exactly, so there are upsides and downsides to each situation.
