Sonam Kapoor has often landed in controversies and rubbed people the wrong way with her frank opinions. Perhaps that could be the reason that the actress appears to be guarded in the upcoming episode of Koffee With Karan where she shares the couch with Kareena Kapoor. Kareena, on the other hand, outshines Sonam with her witty answers and quick repartee to Karan's questions.

Kareena, who was pregnant when the episode was shot, is seen taking jibes at Karan for being so visible on television. The actress also refused to comment on who is better between Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Pdukone. "They are both in Hollywood now." When she was asked what would she do if was stuck in an elevator with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, Bebo said, "I would kill myself."

Sonam on the other hand refused to answer if she is indeed dating designer Anand Kabra and did not want to rate her contemporaries, "I think I am the best," said the actress.

Bollywood actors Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen together on the next episode of Koffee with Karan.

In a teaser Star World shared on Twitter, Kareena is her witty self while Sonam seems to be a little guarded. When Karan asked who is she dating, Sonam quipped, "I don't talk about my personal life."

I don't even know why Bebo should be awkward with them- she was not dating them, RK was! Heck Bebo is not even awkward with her own Ex Aur ex's ex gf PC so why is she awkward with RK's exes? 😆

KAhm: I did & said exactly the same thing in a thread yesterday!!! Vidya doesn't like Sonam at all, it was so clear. It also felt like Sonam was doing her most to gain sympathy & Alia & Anushka, ESP Anushka, just didn't buy it & we're getting really annoyed. At 2 points I saw Anushka make faces when Sonam was speaking.. Rude, but she did. Vidya was much classier in her annoyance but it showed clearly.

Yeah I noticed that too, even Alia was kind of not very enthusiastic about talking much because Sonam and Anu just couldn't finish their talking.

It will feature another pair of actors who are collaborating on a film together but Johar will not be able to dedicate a good half of the show to matchmaking as after Anushka Sharma-Katrina Kaif, it is the second time this season that two female actors will share the couch.

Other than sharing the screen space in the upcoming film Veerey Di Wedding, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor have another thing in common - their straightforward comments and confessions on the show. From commenting on contemporary Priyanka Chopra's accent to pulling cousin Ranbir Kapoor's leg on the mention of his then-girlfriend Katrina Kaif, Kareena has always been no-holds barred on the show. Sonam has also shown a similar graph as she was seen passing some sneaky remarks on Ranbir during a past appearance.

However, at journalist Rajeev Masand's Actresses Roundtable 2015, Sonam confessed that it was dehumanising of her to pass those comments and she revealed that she refused to rank her contemporaries during the rapid fire round this time. We saw a glimpse of that in the teaser as she dodges Johar's question by announcing that she is the best.

Another noticeable aspect of the teaser is Kareena's baby bump (since the episode was shot before she gave birth to Taimur Ali Khan). While she carries herself with utmost grace, the pregnancy has not deterred her from making our jaws drop.

She admits that since Deepika Padukone and Priyanka have now gone to Hollywood, there is no question of her being compared with the two actors. Also, she claims that she has never pursued awards but only rewards through her films. Having said that, she also adds that she hopes Sonam manages to bag the best actress award for her understated act in Ram Madhvani's Neerja last year.

Kareena, at her candid best, blurts out that she does not want to be stuck in an elevator with Katrina and Deepika, especially when she is about to deliver a baby, thus hinting at the animosity between the two female actors most probably owing to their ex Ranbir. Sonam does not lag behind in her fire as she states that she was amused by how there was a debate in a magazine, about whether she needs breast implants or if she has already gone through the process, much to the surprise of Kareena.

This will be Kareena's fifth appearance on the show as she has appeared with Rani Mukherji, Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir in the past four seasons respectively. On the other hand, this is Sonam's third appearance as she has shared the couch with Deepika and her father Anil Kapoor on the last two seasons.

Given Johar's personal equation with Kareena, and Sonam's track record of confessions on the show, the next episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5 is sure to be a potential contender for the best episode this season.

Now everyone knows for a fact Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor were dating each other during Saawariya. I mean, although the couple has never really acknowledged their relationship but it was certainly one of the famous affairs in Bollywood. In fact, their split is also one of the reasons why we haven't got to see them together, through all these years. Turns out Karan tricked Sonam if she would ever date Ranbir but before Sonam could answer that, Kareena jumped in to reveal that Karisma is keen that Sonam becomes their bhabi( sister in law). But without making things more awkward, Sonam quickly turned down the proposal saying, "Ranbir and I'd make better friends," adding she doesn't believe she would keep him happy." Ouch! We wonder what did she hint with the last line. Any guesses?

Nevertheless, leaving it all in the jest of it, Sonam and Ranbir will be reuniting after 10 years for Sanjay Dutt biopic. But again the irony here being - Sonam will be playing Ranbir's ex-girlfriend in the film which also stars Anushka Sharma in the role of a journalist. Can't wait to watch the film already, right? Same here guys! I mean, it'll be interesting to see Sonam and Ranbir's chemistry especially when you know they had a past. We are really glad that at least now they finally decided to let bygones be bygones and mend ways professionally, if not personally...

Kareena Kapoor Khan is very fond of her Veere Di Wedding co-star Sonam Kapoor and thinks she'd make a good wife for her cousin Ranbir.

Kareena Kapoor Khan made headlines in the last season of Koffee With Karan when she declared Katrina Kaif as her "sister-in-law." Considering that her cousin Ranbir Kapoor and Kat were keeping their relationship under wraps, Bebo letting the cat out of the bag was a big deal.

And now, it looks like Kareena has done it again. According to a report in DNA, Kareena who will be seen sharing the Koffee couch with Sonam Kapoor, declared that she and her sister Karisma Kapoor love Sonam and want her to become their bhabhi.

Incidentally, Sonam and Ranbir made their debut together with Saawariya, and around that time, rumours of their romance were strong. The report says that KJo did not let this slip. He asked her on the show if she'd ever date Ranbir again and she replied, "Ranbir and I'd make better friends. I don't believe I would keep him happy."

There was some tension between Sonam and Ranbir after she made some unsavoury comments about him on the third season Koffee With Karan, where she came with his ex girlfriend Deepika Padukone. However, the two have since buried the hatchet and will even be working on Rajkumar Hirani's Sanjay Dutt biopic together.

Next on the Koffee With Karan Couch will be Kareena and Sonam Kapoor. This duo is known for being candid, bold and sarcastic. We wonder if Kareena and Sonam together are too much even for Karan to handle.
We've got an interesting sneak peek into their chat. Guess what Karan asks Kareena to do? Last season she went on about Katrina and Ranbir's relationship on the show, and this time, she's writing a matrimonial ad for her cousin brother.
Not just Ranbir, Bebo also cooked up shaadi ads for Arjun Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra.
So how did she sell the handsome hunks to the ladies out there? Bebo describes Arjun as the eager beaver' (whatever that means!) and Sidharth as the fair & lovely, and so ready'. Ranbir, if you are nervous about Bebo's candid response for you, worry not. She has a piece of advice though- "Ranbir needs a break".
But Kareena did something about Ranbir's ex-girlfriends. Karan asked her "what would you do if you were stuck in an elevator with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif?". Kareena never minces her words, "I think I would just kill myself. I don't want to be in this elevator. Please!". Karan of course is in splits.
Gossip girls Bebo and Sonam also talk about their upcoming film Veere Di Wedding, fashion, motherhood and what not. While Sonam remains tight lipped about who she's dating, Kareena jokes with Karan that she's dating him only, since she finds him everywhere he looks.
