So glad he stopped doing the dumb ppnh type comedies. It was very clear after Kaminey what type of roles he excels in but he still wanted to chase that 'big commercial blockbuster'. Anyway, hope he gets that too, if not with Rangoon, at least with Padmavati

Just *fingers crossed* he keeps this up and doesn't sign something like Shaandaar again.

I always said, he became serious about his career after PPNHs failure.

RR, if short lived, was his entry back & did give him small commercial satisfaction. Then came Haider ... Shaandaar, who he and not only him, we all thought to be an other Queen. Otherwise he seems to be making decent choices. He just needs BO numbers & he is there in the race with RK.

He has given up on commercial success and invested himself into meaningful work! One of the best decisions of his life IMO.
Some actors will be known for their acting chops only...and he is one of them.

He has just changed since Haider.. I'm glad he did, he will go down as one of the very few most talented/versatile mainstream/commercial actors in history of Bollywood :-)

Shahid is an under-rated actor. Been saying this for years. He clearly inherited his talent from his father who is Ofc, on another level!! His dabble into RR shows he can do even the massy full-on commercial film but Haider is when everyone actually stood up & saw him for what he is- An excellent actor. Or not to be, was so subtly nuanced it was quite brilliant! Shahid in Haider in most scenes was such a honest performance- It seems to be a freedom for him but idk if it's coincidence or not, but one after the other, it's been one good role as a showcase of his talent, after the other only after Haider. Almost as if Haider brought this decision about after all the shower of praises & award he won for it.


And idk you guys think the forum hates SK, I've always liked him & said he's one of the best actors! 😊
