It's so funny because Aishwarya's first ever movie role was based on Jayalalithaa. It was Mani Ratnam's Iruvar, and she was remarkable in it.

Did you know that Aishwarya Rai had played Jayalalithaa in Mani Ratnam's Iruvar?

It would be seriously amazing if this is actually made though.. Ash is at a juncture where she can play the younger and older selves of Jayalalithaa successfully.

Jaya was a strong woman. Her ambitiousness, her strength, her grace, her demeanour. It would be great to see Ash do this role. But it needs a seasoned director like Mani Ratnam to helm such a difficult project.

I was just thinking about this few days ago. Aishwarya would be picture perfect for the role, they look similar too.

Good choice! I think Ash would've done very well. Hope soon some good director gets wind of this & casts Ash. But more than Jayalalitha, I've been waiting to see Ash as Gayatri Devi. She mentioned too somewhere that Ash would be a good choice. <3

Aishwarya already played jayalalitha onscreen. She was very good in Iruvar. Would be interesting to see her play jaya again in jaya's biopic.

Ash's debut movie directed by Manirathnam was Iruvar (based on MGR and Karunanidhi) and Ash played Jayalalitha. This was late 90s ??

Jayalalitha's biopic would make a fascinating story. But honestly I think it needs someone with the gravitas and ability of a Vidya to carry off her entire life story arc especially in the later half.
