- Same with Raveena. She's got several film connection through her dad. She even recently tweeted about being on the set of a film with Amitabh Bachchan at the age of 7. If that isn't nepotism then I don't know what is. Someone like Ayesha Jhulka had more talent than her but zero "godfathers" so hence she disappeared.

- Saif wouldn't have got any films if it wasn't for his lineage. People still complain about his dialogue delivery but look at his work in 1993/1994/1995 😛

- Sunny's first film Betaab was one of the biggest hits of the year and he was nominated for Best Actor for it. He went on to do 13 films in the next 5 years. Similarly, Sanjay Dutt's first film 2 years earlier was a hit (9th highest grosser of the year). He went on to do 11 films in the next 5 years.

- If you look at the winners of Filmfare Best Debut Male: 1988-2003 the percentage of winners from a film-family is 84%. That's EIGHTY-FOUR PER CENT! 🥱

But look at the winners from this decade:
2010: Ranveer Singh
2011: Vidyut Jamwal
2012: Ayushman Khurrana (beating Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan)
2013: Dhanush
2014: Fawad Khan (beating Tiger Shroff)
2015: Sooraj Pancholi

The difference is clear to see... 😃

- Nepotism has always been less favourable, like most things, to the females. But still most of the successful girls today are "outsiders": Deepika / Priyanka / Kangana / Anushka / Vidya.
Even girls like Alia, Sonakshi, Shraddha are proving themselves to be good artistes. The audience today will reject and has rejected lallu-pappu daddies boys with no talent.

The point is, it is still there, but nowhere near as bad as the 90s ⭐️

I meant compare the struggles of star kids than to now. Look at Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Shradha Kapoor, Parineet's struggle are cause by her own self. And compare those to Karishma, Raveena, Twinkle, Bobby, Fardeen and Saif. Just look at Karishma's struggles to Kareena's. What else explain Sonam still getting movies today after so many flops. And still remaining in the limelight do to dumb comments similar to Kareena during her flop phase she was always considered at the top.

The best debutant are no where to be seen. One film means nothing. There are people who are one time winners at everything. Ranveer Singh is distantly related to Sonam Kapoor from what i have heard. Sooraj Pancholi is also a star kid.

Deepika, Vidya, Kangana, Anushka, Vidya are around today than the 90s hard Madhuri, Sridevi, Aishwary Preity Zinta,Juhi Chawla and potentially even a Divya Bharti in the early 90s. Manisha, Shabana, Deepti, Nandita Das were there to fill in for the successful art actress. Yes art films do better commercially so Vidya and Kangana would be considered more successful. That just a change or progression of times. It has more factors at play than Nepotism alone.

Sunny delivered hits here and there. But he never maintained success. Similar with Sanjay Dutt he was never accounted as one the top actors.

I think we have a difference of opinion. We can agree to disagree. I reckon I called it less not invisible in the 90s.
