Without KARAN, ALIA Can't survive in films?

She has done 8 films including DZ.

Dharma Productions:

1. SOTY - SEMI HIT

2. 2 STATES - SUPER HIT

3. HSKD - HIT

4. SHANDAAR - FLOP

5. KAPOOR & SONS - HIT

6. DEAR ZINDAGI - Expected HIT (Average is assured)

Non-Dharma Films:

1. HIGHWAY - BELOW AVERAGE

2. UDTA PUNJAB - AVERAGE

She is literally not able to do films other than Dharma, when she did, they were not even Clean HITs.

Kind of films she has chosen has given her edge over her contemporaries, but a CONFIDENT INDEPENENT STAR if one has to be, she isn't.

It seems like KARAN is making her decision & Shaping her career.

Will she succeed outside DHARMA-KARAN?

She is the best actress of her gen. Kjo can give her films but can't act for her or make audience like her. Most critics and audiences have loved her performance in DZ, says a lot.

That's the package deal you get with DHARMA Films. There are set of Critics who will praise those films so much that even if they are not HIT, it gives idea that Alia is best performer.

If you are this much good performer, come out of Dharma & Do films in every genre, make them Big hit, why to limit just doing Kjo's choice of films?

Question is not valid, Karan will not make movies without Alia, all those Dharma movies are hits because of Alia 😉

Till now her best performance is Highway, not a Dharma film. Her best reviewed film is also Highway, she is establishing herself as a performer and that will go a long way in prolonging her career. Hits and flops are part of any actor's career. About variety in roles give her some time, she's only 3-4 yrs in the industry.

If she is happy with 10 critics praising her, 100 more liking her perofrmance, as these kind of films has only that much reach, then it's ok.

If she is aiming to be a BIg Star, a Heroine with All India level appreciation, she needs to prove herself.

4 years is not a small time, that too when u have so much advantages in marketing your films.

^ 2 states is a 100 cr hit, so she has got big success. I'm glad she's doing performance oriented role or films that has her in central character. Maybe her priorities are different, maybe she wants to be known as a great actress rather then just a big star.

Yes she can survive w/o kjo because she as an actress has really improved a lot . In fact she was terrible in kjo's film soty but has shown a remarkable growth in other films. She would be the next top female star if we consider age & acting skills
