I saw few tweets on Tamasha such as it's the most depressing movie ever and I just wonder... why is a person going through a crisis with borderline split-personality disorder going to have light moments in his life ? I mean the only comic relief in the 2nd half of this movie was was when he flips out on his boss. So, I just don't get why do people look out for comic relief in such intense films and shun them if it doesn't provide otherwise?

Ranbir's biggest enemy is his image. And young stars are PR sanitized right now to get more fan. My heart tells me Ranbir should take this leap of fate. If his work starts getting appreciated then PR will take back seat.

But a my mind is afraid. All you need to see is any blind which contains some man doing infidelity, replies are Ranbir hoga. Never mind there is no known female in his life.

Doing something so negative will push him into Ranjit category (who was handsome, good actor and nice man but could never recover from his onscreen negative image). Audience empathize with on screen image. With more negative image he will be doomed. By the time he marries he will have accumulated enough brownie points that one negative won't matter.

Shahrukh was different. He did the role very early in his career. He was known to be in love with Gauri. Their romance was true Bollywood romance - Hindu - Muslim, elopement, parent not ready. The moment he did KANK was when the whispers began.

I have not seen the film. I tried my best to watch the film but I would turn it off every time it starts for some reason. It would've been nice if dp never signed this film

I don't think playing a negative character would harm RK's image. But you never know if it can backfire. BAH did a damage to his image, with a lot of help from KWK🤬

My absolute favourite film like ever by my absolute favourite filmmaker. Seen it so many times now and love it more every time I watch it. RK's best performance and Imtiaz best directorial. So much depth. So much class. As real as it gets.
