DZ was always a niche movie so I don't quite get when people judge movies like these with a parameter with which they would judge a out and out commercial movie. A FAN or a DZ can't be judged the way a CE was when it comes to BO.

Someone asked about songs, the soundtrack grows on you. Most of the songs are darn soothing man. Some of my favorites are Love You Zindagi, Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le andTu Hi Hai.

alia...sooo dope! bomb she is. if the movie clicks at boxoffice, she might grab 2 awards this year. and she totally deserves it. really mann...at times she seems like a pro like shah, that good is she.👏there is about 5 to 10 min monologue alia deliver...standing ovation she gets for this👏

about movie, it is a feel good movie, nothing mindblowing, extraordinary, but heartwarming.
actually, if you compare with EV, am a bit disappointed, i loved EV but dear zindagi, liked it.

the first 20 to 30 mins of movie is such a blah, but last 30 mins is brilliant.

Dear Zindagi Friday (1st Day) Collection Update for Morning and Noon Shows.

Dear Zindagi has taken decent to good start at box office considering the film genre. This is mainly due to presence of Shah Rukh Khan in the film. Real word of mouth will ensure how film shows growth through the weekend and real test will come on Monday. So, far start is good and well begun is half done.

Dear Zindagi has opened to around 25-30% occupancy in Morning shows on average which is pretty ok. In High end plexes opening is around 40% which is great. But rest it is poor and in some places it is as low as 15% range. Film has picked up further in Noon to record occupancy of around 35-40% on average across India. High end plexes are again leading with occupancy reported there is around 50% which is fantastic for a working day. Again in others occupancy if half of high end plexes.

There is no doubt main driving force for Dear Zindagi will be high end plexes in metros and big cities and it is there where film needs to do well in coming days.
