On the red here here is your answer below. Kashmir problem is not related to black money or fake currency. Its deeper than that. Again its a temporary respite unless govt takes steps to solve the root cause of the problem ie discontent among the local population there.

J&K encounter: Slain militants were in possession of new Rs 2,000 notes

Nobody burns house for bed bug, but its going to cause inconvenience during the clean up but on the positive side people who don't have ID or bank account will be encouraged to open one. Electing corrupt politician will never change future, this corrupt politician want to people to continue same life style and fight on the basis of caste and reservation. 2 month back I traveled 3/4 of India except North, I saw nothing has changed in past 8 year. People were stil waiting patiently in long queue outside reservation center to buy tickets, to fill water outside chawal, queue to use smelly public toilet, queue for darsan outside popular temples like Shirdi or Siddivinayak, only new thing I saw was queue for checkout in malls. Main stream media won't ask about people inconvenience who r standing in this line, their reply will be identical to one few are complaining right now. Even people won't blame because there is no chance of monetary gain or footage.

Unless there is strict rule, nobody will change but hopefully government is doing something in right direction.
Bold: There is no doubt that few local support militant activities same lot of traitor who chant about other countries but atleast things are coming back to normal in Kashmir.
