Ranveer and Sushant's bitter rivalry

There's a silent war heating up between Sushant Singh Rajput and Ranveer Singh. The hostility that started from the time Sushant left Aditya Chopra's production house and is carried on till now - when Ranveer's Befikre is set to release next month.

WHY? Says an insider,"Every one knows that Sushant left YRF because Adi had promised him Befikre but then gave it to Ranveer. The rivalry between the two actors has continued since then. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela was first offered to Sushant, but his dates were not available so he had to turn it down."

ALSO...At a pre-award event in the beginning of this year when Ranveer answered all the questions at the red carpet and didn't let Sushant take over the mic, Sushant said tongue-in-cheek,' Ranveer always spoils my interviews!' A few weeks later at an awards event when an exuberant Ranveer walked up to Sushant, he turned his face away, snubbing him.

SO...One actor has left the mother-ship (YRF), while the other is Adi's blue-eyed buy. "They've turned into bitter rivals because of how things played out at YRF. Both are barely friendly to each other, the awkward energy is visible when both bump into each other, they don't party together and on social media, too,they don't acknowledge each other's releases. Ranveer generously tweets about every second film but for MS Dhoni there was complete silence from his end," observes a source.

NOW? Sushant has had time to even out the score as he scored a massive solo hit in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. His performance has been universally appreciated as one of the best performances of the year. Now, Ranveer is coming up with a very big release in Befikre and it remains to be seen how the film turns out at the box-office and his performance is rated in that film.

Rivalry is there but not sure about "bitter".. good that SsR left YRF.. he seems to be doing better now

This is such a one sided rivalry. I could've believed it if it came after KPC when SSR first signed with YRF but Ranveer was in talks for Befikre since 2013. maybe when AdiC was scripting it he was going to give it to SSR, but after he came on board to direct, the only real solid rumor was Ranveer. SSR is (rightfully) mad about the mess that was Paani but then there were articles that claimed he was offered Bajirao before RS which just can't be true.
