I also don't think Anupam was being racist, he was just being an idiot. He thought using the word black so casually was funny. He thought it is funny to say that both and india turned black from white, India metaphorically and USA literally. But that was a distasteful as it was like his tweet gave a hint to potray black in USA's case as something bad. He may not meant but some one of his status and stature should have been mature and articulate enough.

This message was circulating on Whatsapp whole day yesterday. I don't think Anupam dwelled into it much before copy pasting it on Twitter.

I was the same though. At first when I read this message, I wasn't offended. But thinking through it, it sounded distasteful since India is getting rid of something bad whereas USA is losing one of the best President. Still not as offensive as people are making it out here.
