Just because you can't negate the money that movie has earned, begin counting footfalls and head falls , next count hair falls .
Aren't collections of Shivay being doubted ?
ADHM has worked still people arent giving credit to Ranbir. You replace Ranbir with any actor and it will work. 🤪
If it was a flop, it would all have been Ranbir's fault.

Kjo tried every trick in the book, used FK well. I don't think FK had any role apart from the cameo , RK-Anu track won't have worked but so stupid how Kjo first used FK bandwagon, then allowed the negative campaign to sustain and then moved on.
Publicity, Ash+RK+Anushka. SRK's cameo . Yet the movie is struggling to cross 100Cr. With a KJo , NRI billings, such a star-stubbed cast, music, so many cameos..the movie should have earned more..atleast 200Cr.

Nobody's a winner here. But stans can be happy compering these two movies with each other.

In an industry where films are struggling to reach 100cr even, 200cr is a big ask realistically speaking. None of the Diwali releases till date have done 200cr including PRDP and HNY which had bigger stars, had solo releases and opened at 40cr on their opening days. And here you are expecting Shivay or ADHM to do 200cr despite the clash and hence division of screens and audiences. Technically no one might be the winner. Perception wise ADHM wins hands down.

194 is very close to 200, adding Dub version, it is 196 Cr, that too with that WOM / RATINGS. With ADHM kind of Ratings from Critics + Publicize WOM, it should have crossed 200 Cr.

BM did 183 Cr

2850 Screens pe 200 Cr karna asaan tha when u know Shivaay is not doing well in Plexes & WOM is not that good either.

But why are you forgetting that PRDP had a solo release while these movies didnt. We will never know how Salman will do when faced with a clash till he faces one. And no I am not talking about pre-2009 era when business model was different.

Next year Ajay Devgan has a solo release on Diwali with RS. Lets see how G4 fares compared to PRDP or HNY.

CLASH is so much overrated in this forum, as if it is something which won't allow films to score big?

If clash hampers business, how does BM earned 183 Cr on just 2700 Screens that too in clash?

ADHM = 2850 Screens = Forget clash, u do business with that much screens? Who is stopping it??

YJHD = 2900 Screens = 178 Cr

TWMR = 2100 Screens = 148 Cr

DABANGG = 1800 Screens = 141 Cr

These are all this decade's films, released in same format as ADHM, What DOES Clash does to ADHM which result in just 100+ marginal business??

It was released on 8550 SHOWS per day, that much shows, that too with CLASH??

Yeh CLASH ka excuse dena band kardo, jabki business toh 1000 Screens pe bhi kar jaati hai FILMS.

My point exactly. There is no winner.Perception matters to Stan fans.

Realistically, AD had no chance in hell with the budget and his star-power has been on the decline.A Kjo-NRI brand+RK and others, should have given a more solid number, AD's movie shouldn't have been a competition at all . That is a realistic expectation.

Both the movies you cited were crap. I cannot speak for Sallu's movie , i don't watch them, but it got awful reviews and yet it made so much money. Same with HNY , crapfest, yet sold somewhat on SRK+Diwali hype.

Diwali probably have saved ADHM , given it a nice weekend and clear preference to Multiplex audience , it failed at the story level and there you have it.
