That's why it is matching ADHM Footfalls. SHIVAAY actually has more footfalls if u see that it's 1st week business is 15 Cr Less.

Despite having 15 Cr Lead, ADHM couldn't have more footfalls. It's TICKET PRICE WAS HIGH, so this difference came.

confuse ho rahi hun thoda sa...I am simply asking shouldn't more people have watched shivaay(that's what 'footfalls' mean,right?) if the ticket price is lesser?

MORE PPL have watched SHIVAAY, but they watched it in SINGLE SCREENS mainly which has LOW TICKET PRICE.

Same no. of ppl watched ADHM mostly in MULTIPLEX, which has MORE TICKET PRICE, which resulted 15 Cr more business for that film.

SHIVAAY = 98 Tickets SOLD = but were SOLD at 120/- = So business = 11,760

ADHM = 100 Tickets SOLD = but were SOLD at 145/- = So business = 14,500

Due to less ticket price in Single Screens, Shivaay attracted more audience & High Ticket Price at MULTIPLEX, they didn't went there. But Same No. of ppl watched both films.

Economics formula doesn't quite apply here, does it? Not necessairily less price will result into more demand. Since multiplex people are usually seen as the well off ones, they probably care more about their preference than price.
