"No producer wants to lose money and no director wants to make a bad film. I don't think those things apply to my films," says Kapoor who is actor Anil Kapoor's son.
Asked if he has grown up watching his father's films such as Parinda, Ram Lakhan or Laadla, the Kapoor scion says, "I didn't grow up watching his films. I watched his films much later. I am a 90s kid. I've grown up watching Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan."
The actor asserts that he is neither influenced by his father nor his sister actor Sonam Kapoor."I'm not influenced by anyone. I'm on my own when it comes to acting and I would like to mark my niche when it comes to making a mark in the world of acting," he says.
The actor who holds a degree in screen writing, always wanted to be part of the film industry but taking up acting came much later in his mind. "Cinema was always on my mind. Acting, I decided somewhere between 18- 24 years. I was in college where I was studying screen writing and acting. Some of the classes there made me believe that I had the knack and it was something I could do," says the actor.
