Ranbir may not be invited to Bachchans' Dilwai bash; here's why

After Rakhi Sawant and Mallika Sherawat, Ranbir Kapoor seems to rapidly be acquiring the reputation for being the new motormouth in town. This time round, his comments on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seem to have ruffled the feathers of many, including the Bachchans themselves.

Recently, during a radio interview, Ranbir was asked what it felt like to do intimate scenes with his teen crush Aishwarya. Ranbir said, "Sharam aati thi, mere haath shiver hote the. Kabhi kabhi main unke gaal ko touch karne mein jijhakta tha. (I would feel shy and my hands would shiver. I would hesitate to touch her cheeks) Phir unhone bola Listen what's wrong with you? We're acting, do it properly.' Phir maine socha, kabhi aisa mauka milega nahi, so maine bhi mauke pe chauka maar diya. (I thought I'll never get this chance again, so I took it)."

Ranbir's cheesy response was not taken well by the Bachchans. A close friend of the family wondered what brought on this kind of a tacky comment. "There are four very professional actors in the Bachchan family, and they know what professionalism is all about," says the Bachchan confidante. "There's absolutely no objection to whatever the scenes contained in the film. But why is Ranbir making these embarrassing comments about hitting mauke pe chauka?'"

Ranbir Kapoor clarifies, says comments on Aishwarya were taken in a 'bad taste'

Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor has clarified a comment he made on "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" co-star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan during an interview and said he respects her.
While talking about the intimate scenes between him and Aishwarya in the film, Ranbir apparently said in a radio interview that he felt shy, so much so that his hands used to shiver and he was hesitant to even touch her cheeks.
He then added that Aishwarya asked him to do it properly, reminding him that they were acting at the end of the day. "Tabhi maine socha, kabhi aisa mauka milega nahi, so maine bhi mauke pe chauka maar diya!" Ranbir said.
Now, in a statement, the actor has said that his comments "in a radio interview were taken in a bad taste," though he has not mentioned the particular statement.

The statement says he is hurt about how a candid conversation has been blown out of context and sensationalised into headlines and stories.

"Aishwarya is such a superb actor and a also a family friend. Shes one of Indias most talented and respected women. I will be forever grateful to her for her contribution to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I could not have disrespected her like that!" the 34-year-old actor said.
