Ash is a strong woman, she doesn't need approval from them. She never seeks validation from anybody.

But it is pathetic on the part of Amitabh and Jaya to not support their daughter in law when she needs it the most. And to think Ash is so enthusiastic about Amitabh and Abhishek's movies... sigh. They don't deserve you, girl. Abhishek, the parents-worshipper, is too spineless to stand up for her.
