The 80-year-old recently took to Twitter to express his anger atAsaduddin Owaisi, the President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), who had abused the 'Sultan' actor.

Calling Owaisi a "self-proclaimed leader of Muslims", Salim Khan tweeted, "Owaisi is upset with Modiji and abuses Salman.

Salim Khan recollected an incident in 2014 when Salman was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ahmedabad for the kite flying festival.

It was during this time that Owaisi had bad-mouthed Salman.

...I dont subscribe to their style... however their integrity or lack of it is subject to debate...I agree or some and disagree on others...just to give one example, thanks to MNS, many toll booths which were supposed to be discontinued kept operating and fleecing people ...they raised the issue many time and when nothing happened...just went and demolished them.😆...Khallas!!!...Issue resolved...Btw Both MNS/SS are the best when it comes to providing ambulance services for medical emergency...if not for MNS many land owners wouldnt have got their dues during Expressway construction ...where as NCP, which doesnt talk had forcefully grabbed lands.
