This is also the reason as to why I like her. She's the only actress I can relate to. She's more real and upfront than the likes of her contemporaries who often fake diplomacy and fierce image. She's not a pseudo savior of women or humankind, neither she's distant. She's just herself. Yes she goofs up, does and says things she should not, but hey that's what normal people do. We're not diplomatic and pilitically correct all the time.

With regards to Ranveer, the fans who used to ridicule her are staunch DeepVeer shippers and they hated her for obvious reasons. But the man himself holds her in high regards and gave a lot of credit to her for BBB's success. He still tries a lot to support and appreciate her which speaks volumes about how he thought/still thinks of her.

@kabeeraspeaking -- it's fun to interact with u where either Anu or RK is concerned! I was thinking the same things n made the post n then realized u had done a much better job at it..

Exactly! You reminded me of the interview she did with Anupama last year where she talked about pay disparity and all that. I have seen quite a few in this industry talk about those issues and maybe this is just me but a lot of the times such conversations can come across as people trying to sound smart where as with Anushka , you felt every word of what she was saying because it came from the heart. It wasn't just a "talking point" you know. She was talking about things she has experienced , about what she has seen and it just came from an extremely genuine place. A lot of the times and I'm not doubting anyone's intention here , some of these issues get into a zone where people start sounding like they are giving an answer like they are at some pageant man.

I loved that interview from last year, so glad you brought it up! That's why I can connect with her so well...she's just so relatable and can talk beyond the standard typical answers. Even that table discussion with Rajeev last year...she pretty much came up with all the topics during that discussion and discussed them all

@zaroonkashaf - I remember that.. she didn't just say give us females more money..she simply said 'give value to our work' don't devalue it just because they r females.. that resonated with with me

@Bold - exactly!! Most of the audience treat her/take her in the same vein they take an Alia if u see... talented but no struggle (no huge rags to riches... loitering begging around PHs/ facing casting couch, etc). I mean general comments.. it has never ever been her point to put it out and impress upon being the underdog.. which she IS! And as u correctly said I don't think she can do the other side of it.. to live up to notoriety and gain..
I remember once she said when she started modeling at 14-15 she made sure she topped her class.. because when someone tells her parents in the typical middle class condescending way to things related to glamour industry "oh ur daughter is modeling?" they would be able to tell "but she has also topped her class"
Maybe that is where she comes from..

And yah somehow despite what Ranbir said aboutt how she was so awkward and sticking out in those BW parties she has made it to the innermost circle of BW.. she is standing there with KJo sharing confidences up to a certain extent! And that says it..
