Both for me ---- they both can sing deep soulful songs along with fun masti kinds ---- don't see a reason to *compare & insult their talents( --- both have *made their own place in BW* ------- my playlist will always carry songs by both of them --- *😃*

i think no comparison at first place,it's sonu nigam even shaan also better than arijit i think for me.arijit also not bad but arijit n ankit sound almost alike in songs may be auto tune n arijit better than auto tune singers ankit,atif lol

sonu nigam... i have been watching him since sa re ga ma... my friends and i spent a long time listening to his songs on repeat in 2000's so brings back a lot of memories.. we were crazy die hard sonu fans... to us he was the most soulful singer 😆... whatever i have seen of him this year it has made me respect him as a person 👏👏👏 arjit is okay... his aashiqui songs are the best

Sonu Nigam was the one who got this tag of being versatile in 90's only because of singing in many different genre like satrange re , what is mobile number , sandesi ate, yeh dil dewala , mujey raat din bas mujey chati ho , akhiyoon se goli mare , kaha raja bhooj kahan gangu teli , abhi saans lene ki fursat nahi hai, mere neend jane lagi hai , dewana tera , bijuriya etc etc he was famous to sing qawali, ghazal , sad, happy, emotional,pop,rock , classical, fast dance numbers like bijuriya to hi pitch songs , naats , bhajan , etc etc :) he had this quality to change his voice from songs to songs ...

agreed... really talented.. he is absolutely brilliant isn't he? he has the ability to make the song his own... he has had much better lyrics to work with and i am super biased, but to me he always had this ability to sing the song such that it brought out the best of the song... makes me wonder how much work he puts into the song to make it sound so damn good... .him and shreya ghoshal are the best to come out of sa re ga ma...

Probably Sonu Nigam is more technically perfect. I have no idea.
There's something magical about Arijit Singh's voice that makes each song so special. Especially the break in the voice!
