Many so-called humanitarians are condemning this move by saying artists are not terrorists & banning them is not a solution to terrorism & that art is above everything .. well they are entitled to their opinions & so are we .. we think practicality of the situation begs to differ .. nobody claimed banning artists is a 'solution' but it's a step towards ending ties .. making it apparent that enough is enough , we are not taking this lightly .. also Indian entertainment industry is a part of India and not the other way round .. plus this step is a necessity as mentioned above ..

I agree and I say that after 26/11...we should have cut all the ties with Pak...why was the friendship hand extended...why were the visas given to Pak actors...why do we still entertain their sportspeople...why are there economic ties between India-Pak...why was it not done after 26/11...and I can bet my life on...that after 2 years or maybe sooner...who knows...again everything is going to be normal...Do u think its fair to BW...I am saying BW because this is what we discuss here...its not as simple as 1,2,3 and all ties are severed...

we have to ask the Government and politicians first before blaming those who are in favor of not cutting the cultural ties?? Why were the visas issued...was 26/11 and the lives that were lost not enough?? Were the proofs that we had not enough?? Then why was this act of friendship started?? Why give the BW people the idea that they can hire Pak artists...Its not that BW have gone against any Govt orders and hired Fawad and Mahira...The Pak actors were hired because BW could hire them...so now why are we penalizing BW for no fault of theirs?

Never have in his entire career? Too early to judge isnt it? Just you be grateful he is successful in getting publicity for Ranbir's film. Something that Ranbir himself didnt succeed with despite trying with his ex-gf jaap in Tamasha or ADHM or BV or Besharam. Btw Tamasha, BV, Besharam, Roy all had no Fawad and did have smooth releases didnt they?

^ Fawad couldn't generate much buzz for his solo films lol this unwanted negative publicity is a headache for Kjo and rest of the actors for the film, if given a choice they will do away with it. No one wants their films however good or bad to get banned for one actor or an incident...unfortunately Ranbir, Aish and Anushka will have to bear this.

How many solo films does Fawad have? Khoobsurat? Well atleast it was made with 1/10th of BV's cost(Ranbir's costliest film) and earned 3 times it did.

As for Ranbir, Anushka, Ash..the three are supposed to be superstars and if they dont have the capacity to counter some negative publicity they shouldnt be called superstars. A true mark of a superstar is taking it in the chin rather than hide one's own lack of abilities and blame it on a costar who anyway is doing a minor role at the request of the director.

Most of us are in agreement regarding what should have been India's stance after 26/11 .. but India took a friendlier approach & gave another chance to Pak which unfortunately didnt turn out so well .. on the bright side , at least India tried every possible way & didnt resort to just one approach or another .. certainly raises our credibility ..

@ Red : Terrorists didnt seek permission from Indian Govt before carrying out the attacks for it to warn Bollywood beforehand .. circumstances have changed - this has a lot to do with how the general public is feeling about it .. the anger is similar to when Nirbhaya happened .. now who is to blame for it ? .. yes , Bollywood is one of the assets of India .. many (Indian) people put their heart , soul & money into it .. it might be a tad bit ( actually a lot ) unfair to them .. so yes ,it is unfair to Indian film industry .. still its nothing compared to the lives lost at the hands of terrorism .. at the end of the day , it all boils down to priorities .. looking at the bigger picture .. helps put things in a better perspective ..

And if in the near future , things get better between India-Pak , i am sure it will be reflected in Bollywood as well ( art imitates life & vice verse ) but it can never be free of risk .. nothing is ever devoid of risk.. but risk is also directly proportional to reward ..

Granted , this is happening at a time when Bollywood is already going through a little bit of rough period ( with many production companies wrapping up ) but the industry will survive this .. 😊

Publicity, be it positive or negative is good for a film as long as it doesn't get the film banned. No one wants this kinda negative publicity where one will be called a traitor for supporting his own film. Superstars like SRK had to bow down to such pressures then who are Ranbir, Ash and Anu? Don't we what happened to MNIK.

Are we comparing a chick flick with a dark gangster film? Yet the film couldn't a semi hit tag ...Ranbir has proved himself in many films, he doesn't need your approval. Let Fawad first get a solo hit then we'll talk.

On request of the director to further his own career lol no one is doing charity here.

This is beyond silly 😆. Just release the movie the way it is without changing the characters place of origin or face of character 🥱.

Those who like Kjo's movies are anyways going to watch it. And some of us who plan to reject Karan's style of melodrama cannot be inspired to watch it no matter what 😉
