Rakesh Omprakash Mehra's Mirzya is the biggest disaster of 2016, as the collections of the film is poorer than the other big disaster Great Grand Masti' - which was affected by piracy.
Others disasters like Fitoor' and Mohenjo Daro' showed decent trend, but Mirzya has done the impossible on Saturday. The film which opened to a disastrous response on Friday, went down further on Saturday. The two-day total now stands at Rs 4.30 crore (Friday 2.2 crore, Saturday 2.1 crore).
To put that into perspective, the collections of Mirzya is lower than low-budget failures films like Freaky Ali' and Saala Khadoos'.
The film which marked the debut of Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor, will fail to recover its marketing costs. Mirzya' will lose about 40 crore of its investment.
As part of our IndicineLBO (lifetime box office prediction), we expect Mirzya to finish with lifetime business of 9 crore.
