This talk of how ugly rk looks clean shaven reminds me of this part in tamasha DVD commentary by imtiaz..

There is this scene in the film where ved goes to shimla and he has an argument with his dad.. when he tells him he has quit his job.. it's a very small scene.. hardly few minutes..

Imtiaz tells how vd's state if mind could probably be very easily depicted with a beard but he wanted a squeaky clean look.. and for the mood and emotIon of the scene rk spent time with some salts in bath so that his face and skin look a certain way.. and didn't eat anything or drink water for the longest time.. which added to the irritability ved feels.. imtiaz mentions he looks like a sucked mango.

So I don't fault his dedication to the film.. I will reserve my judgement and if he is indeed bad I will be first one to criticise..

But kjo obviously wanted ayan clean shaven in only this one scene so far..

Can someone gif 0:43 to 0:49?

They are by far the most heart-breaking brimming-with-emotion-yet-not-letting-them-overflow expressions I have seen in recent memory.

Thanks for sharing this. Quite something! 👍🏼This technique of his paid off so beautifully in that Tamasha scene. And I hope in the context of the wedding scene, they pay off for him once more!

Weird that you also asked to make a gif moment like I requested in my thread. But your request was a bit different though. I found both your and my moments in ADHM thread. Here is yours

The song is nice. Not sure if it's the best song of Ranbir's career as Ranbir suggested..😆..but so far, I like it. May need to hear it a few more times. The ending part where Ranbir walks away always reminds me of the song Kabira (love that song).

I feel both Ranbir and Anushka were great here. Ranbir may not look his best clean shaven but that doesn't take away from how he's emoting. You can tell that Anushka's character is getting married and he's heartbroken because he seems to love her. The only thing I find confusing is from Ranbir's attire, I'd think his character is getting married to hers? 😆 Anushka looks really nice in what she's wearing..much better than the glimpse we got in the teaser/trailer. Her expressions are effortless as well.

Ranbir said this is the best song of his career? i'd hav to disagree with that, he has had better songs in his other movies

song is nice, but for some reason i'm not getting hooked onto the adhm songs, like i listen to them once but i dont feel like listening to them repeatedly

I asked for my gif moment in my thread.

I feel the moment he starts dancing, the way he dances, the expressions while dancing, the eyes and the whole Channa mereya mereya, the whole dance is much much more powerful than the scene you mentioned. Even Anu realises his pain, devastation and heartbreak in that moment. It's the best of RK acc to me. He oudid himself here. It's getting to me and ripping me inside everytime. Feel torn.
