Mallika's 'Kara'van to Karachi!

Oh MY! Hand on thigh! Mallika Sherawat and Mahesh Bhatt at a recent event to celebrate the success of Murder

Bhatt saab and Mallika spoke about this after the golden jubilee party of Murder recently. Mallika is excited about going to Pakistan as she has heard a lot about its culture.

She's trying hard to work out her dates and the visa formalities have begun. If her visit helps raise funds for charity, she would love to be a part of that too."

Mahesh Bhatt says, "She told me that Sevy Ali had invited her to the festival and she had also received a mail from the festival organisers."

India chic

Bhatt says that Mallika wanted his advice on the trip. "I said it would be a great platform for her. She's a recognised face in Pakistan. They'll love her because her persona is overtly sensuous, yet Indian. In spite of Pakistan being orthodox, Murder has been a major success there."

Mallika imposed only one condition for visiting Pakistan, that Mahesh Bhatt accompanies her. Affirms Bhatt, "Mallika was very keen to come along with me. I'll be delighted to take her and introduce her to all the lovely people of Karachi and Pakistan. They are the best hosts; young and in sync with the world."

The mentor and muse's past animosity is well behind them now. Says Bhatt, "She has shown warmth and great maturity and put the past behind her. I'm deeply appreciative of that."

Reciprocating love

But nephew Emraan still holds a grudge against her. "Emraan holds on to old enemies. At the Murder party, I told him that there's a certain etiquette we must follow when a lady comes to our function. I asked Emraan to be cordial and affectionate. I was not going to allow him to turn his face away and snub her as she was there as my guest," Bhatt says firmly.

Apart from Mallika and Mahesh Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Mohit Suri, Shiney Ahuja, Vishal Bhardwaj, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan and Omkara producer Kumar Mangat will also be attending the film festival.
