This twitter hashtag is about not taking Pakistani actors .. there is a difference between that and just biasing Indians over their backgrounds or religions.

I am not supporting/opposing the twitter hashtag but the explanation in your comment was even shittier than those tweets themselves.

Taking Pakistani actors is wrong because they are from Pakistan and people wanna ban them but what about Indians who work in Pakistan ? When the PM of Pak cant speak against terrorism what will these poor artists speak they have their families and their lives to safeguard, its not a democracy like India where you can be antinational and yet flourish ! Best is to ask them to leave and not employ them in future ( bec relations will always be volatile ) . I am sure Pakistan would have done the same if this was the reverse situation or probably worse ( considering how a shoe was thrown at Kabir Khan for no reason and Anupam Kher was denied a Pak Visa ) so pretty much justified whats being done! When relations go sour it cant be BAU unfortunately and everyone has to face the brunt since obviously military option is always the last one!
