For me, no in the case of love which was in the case of WUS. In ADHM, it is a physical relationship only as far as I understand it from the trailer between the Ranbir character and Ash character and he is already in love. So for that superfluous things matter. Looks, style etc matter more. If it is true love, looks do not matter and that is why I was able to buy the Akshay Khanna and Dimple relationship in DCH.
