Actually I didn't feel that way...although the story was Sid's but then Sid's world revolved around Kat...so it was very balanced IMO.

I absolutely loved the movie.

It is a beautiful story and the actors did a very good job here.

What annoyed me was few of the reactions from so called critics who had issues with:

Sid's Dazed/confused expression - Well, Duhhh...He is travelling in time.

Just when he is able to figure it out and comes to terms with it, he travels again and realizes how much he has messed up his life.

So the confusion was very much valid from his pov.

Katrina's abs - Okay first thing first, she actually is very less in the movie.

She performed beautifully - as the woman very much in love, to an exasperated mom and wife who pretty much shoulders everything in the family, to the woman who decides enough is enough - decides to divorce him and yet is there for him whenever he needs her.

As for her "abs" - In the 2 hour 20 minute movie, she had what 3 songs which is less than 15 minutes of the entire movie.

Rest of the movie she is pretty casually and appropriately dressed. So I wonder where people kept seeing her abs, when frankly there was none to be seen.

I am not saying the movie was perfect, which movie is?

But here in this case it was treated a bit unfairly.

In fact Katrina said in the interview with Komal Nahata, that she is worried that people are going to expect with Kaala chashma and the trailer - an energetic rom-com when in fact it is more of an emotional journey that characters go through - Which is a fair assessment.

I believe of one of the reasons people were disappointed with what the movie was and what was promised in the trailer.

Anyway, I believe it is Sid and Kat's better performances to date. I hope sometime in future, the movie will be given its due that it was infact a pretty good movie.

as a FAN...of course we would want our favorite in every frame😆...but I am glad she wasn't...because the story was not about romance...it was about introspection and self realization of Sid and Kat palyed an important part in that.

Her abs- Kala Chashma was at the end and I must have missed her abs otherwise, 'cause I wasn't concentrating on that.

I made this post 'cause even I feel it was treated unfairly. I mean, it was trashed as if it was the worst thing to come out of BW this year, whereas that was not the case.

There was disproportionate criticism. I feel bad for the team of BBD now.

Actors did their job, the story had life and it was about the pitfalls of human existence.

@bold- Katrina is so smart. Must say, she knows her audience in and out. So, she foresaw this problem. I think people expected a Mere Brother Ki Dulhan/Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani and that's not what this film was about.

The message and story were wasted on false perceptions.
