The first thing in mind when you hear about a new movie announcement

So its literally only about BO that people think about?😆

Finally something we can talk about. 😆

Before coming to this forum, I would only get to know about a new movie when it's trailer came out lol. Maybe newspaper reports.

I think when movies become about fan vs fan, then focus shifts from the storyline and making good movies to a game of numbers.

Everyone wants their favourite's movie to do well and in the bargain, good films might just bite the dust.

I was on Bolo Har Har video and saw that people were writing things like, "KRK, KJo are disliking this trailer, so please like it" etc.

It's not even about a good movie now. It's all about what your favourite star is doing and no matter what they put out, people will act like it's next best thing since dosa.

See... I get wanting your fav movies to do good.. Thats something every fan would want.. What I don't get is why that is the first thing that is talked about when the news of a movie comes.. Take the announcement of TOH for example.. There were so many comments k it will break all records and all.. Why?

I've never seen my friends or ANYONE in real life, for that matter talk about BO numbers.

I find it amusing TBH with you. But yeah, that is not even the last thing I would ever think of even when I watch a movie and love it.

Mostly when we hear a movie annoucement, we wonder about the story, hope the songs will be good, the director, the link between title and story, the setting and so on.. lol

There are always two types of fans.

one stats fan and one aesthetics fans.

in any field, whether movie industry, sports or any other field.
Sadly today due to data feed era we are living, aesthetic taste is fading and all about the race, or else you will be like a broken anda😛


Personally I always care the story before BO numbers.

@bold- It's mostly something for fanboys to gloat over once the film's run ends.

Of course, the earnings of a film matter, but as long as it is profitable, I don't see why there should be murder and harakiri over BO numbers.

However, I see that what fanboys and girls say on YT or IF doesn't affect the actual fate of a film. There was so much hype for BBD online but well, we all know what happened.

BW has become about stroking the egos of the superstars and not churning out good cinema.
