One criticism which majority of movie goers have had with katrina all these years is...her hindi and diction being awful and in fact becoming worse with years

with her calling "Noor" as "Knor" in Fitoor

and many other instances where her diction and hindi have turned an emotional scene to comical

don't you think directors should pay more attention to it?

i mean it is like ruining characters..

Mona Ghosh has dubbed for many artists and katrina has been one of those she has dubbed for many years in many movies like MPKK..HKDKG..Race..Welcome

and i do realize that her act appears better in those movies coz she gets a clear hindi and diction and it automatically lifts the entire act as well as easy on the ears

do you think with rising criticism to her diction and her not paying any attention to it neither working harder during dubbing nor taking workshops for diction...it would be a good idea if makers start dubbing her voice again and use Mona Ghosh as her dubbing artist like old times?

Mona Ghosh's voice annoys me more than Kat's broken hindi..

No.. She has been in the industry long enough to improve her diction.. If she does not think its worth the effort, the makers need to think about casting her at all in roles that require a proper dialogue delivery..

i just watched HUMKO deewana kar gaye yesterday and i would have to say i think that is one of kat's best acts

but major credit also goes to how subtle and easy on the ears the voice was for me at least

it is like her act was uplifted by a beautiful diction and dialogue delivery

well they may now since no amount of kala chashmas and revenge body is bringing people to the cinema

Yes. How long can we tolerate excuses in script for Kat's diction.
People say that her acting is good but voice and diction spoils everything. So it may help.
However, it's like admitting in Class 10th that I can't do Class 2nd work!! In times when KR , PC,DP are rocking acting, Kat not able to say her lines would do serious harm to her reputation!! She just can't do it !!!

As it should be.. I have nothing against Kat.. But considering k we keep hearing how hardworking she is, I fail to understand why her hardwork does not reflect on her diction

also it is a wake up call for katrina

to start taking her craft seriously

working on body and dance is one thing

but if she even gives half the time to improve her acting and diction..that may benefit her more especially now

I don't find anything wrong with Kat's diction because my Hindi and my South Indian accent are heavily influenced by my US background and I have faced criticism.

For people who are criticizing about pronunciation and diction of Hindi and want Kat to be dubbed, remember it is a double edged sword. Indian actors have heavy accents and are quite jarring to hear except a few who had made an effort to change like PC. So if you want people like Kat to be dubbed be prepared for desi actors to be dubbed or have captioning because they are hard to understand in English. If their accent is similar to yours do not get offended or call people who say so racist.
