Promoting a $10 movie on a price of $150 what kind of logic is that? If anything they should have met their fans for free to promote their movie... On the other hand celebrities like Imran Khan(Pakistani politician) Fawad Mahira do dinners with fans for raising funds for charity!! Its a first one where they are charging money to promote their movie 🤔 seems like class is not something we should associate with Devgans !!

ETA: Went for the movie too. In the US, it is quite common. The price of a BW dance party with a DJ spinning tunes is around $15 here during NY and not any celeb. So to see an actual celeb, people pay. Recently Kamal and Gauthami came to Dallas for some cancer initiative. It was sold out. My parents went to that event too. Not for the cancer initiative, but to see them. I don't find it strange. YMMV

I'm from Texas and I know how crazy NRIs are for bollywood celebs... its almost tacky sometimes... but I guess so... I wouldn't pay a dime... if I wanted to see a play maybe... but a bollywood celeb with Q&A? naw.

For many NRIs BW and movies generally are a way to keep in contact with the homeland. Parents especially use movies for language fluency. Mine did when we did not want to speak the language because it was not cool. For many NRIs there is a feeling of apna with BW and/or South celebs. Going for concerts especially or teaching dance and music is part of that. Weekends were/are spent shleping kids to dance class, be it classical or BW. Depends on how you were brought up/ family culture etc. But there is no right way and I would not call it tacky . But again YMMV.

Promote karna sab ka haq hai.. Good if he is doing it too but shouldn't they be accompanied by the lead actress as well if its for movie promotion?

Yes exactly. Why isn't it "Meet the cast of Shivaay"?

Meet Devgans - Who aspires to meet them? who the hell want to meet most "good looking man" and his squeky has been wife?

Isn't it the one who said no one knows Ajay from where she comes from and everyone knows Kajol?😆

But the fact that there is confusion regarding who is the lead actress of the movie speaks volumes about the way they are promoting the movie to be honest

Yet another Ranbir chamcha 🤔. You are a Ranbir fan and biased so you won't spend money. But there are plenty who will meet his wife and Ajay. Obviously there is enough interest or organizers will not be idiots to spend money to bring them. 🤔
