Who knows ? Shah took the entire team for HNY. I watched them in a concert and paid almost the same money, except I did not see them up close.

why? why wouldn't you not save the money for the film? I mean, I guess the movie was crap so it was still worth seeing it, right? These seem like fundraisers... because they dont believe in their films.

I like going for concerts ? . I go for lots of concerts be it rock, pop, Zakir Hussain, carnatic music, bharanatyam. I am going for an Illayaraja concert soon. So too Shah. If I could drive to see Kajol I would. I like seeing "my" people live 😳 even if it is from afar.

ETA: Went for the movie too. In the US, it is quite common. The price of a BW dance party with a DJ spinning tunes is around $15 here during NY and not any celeb. So to see an actual celeb, people pay. Recently Kamal and Gauthami came to Dallas for some cancer initiative. It was sold out. My parents went to that event too. Not for the cancer initiative, but to see them. I don't find it strange. YMMV
